What an amazing gem of a restaurant! Special fish, gorgeous spicy vegetables with tofu, authentic Chinese that I would recommend to anyone! If you are in Winnipeg you must treat yourself to a meal here

Arrived at evening opening, older place nothing special. Mom greeted us, English is rough but you know what she said. The food was not great, Dad was cooking. The rice wasn't special lacked taste and color. Wonton soup was okay. Spring rolls were the "high light "
The beef and vegetables were okay. Maybe if we had gone later in the evening the food would have been better? Portions were modest. Prices were normal for a two person dinner. They have a LARGE menu ,like 200 items. I think that this is a local Asian friendly place. -

This is a family operated restaurant. Our server, who we think is part of the family, asked right away if we wanted "real Chinese or Canadian Chinese"upon sitting down. We picked "real" and let her decide on what dishes were appropriate and popular for us to try. To start, we had a very good wonton soup, followed by four additional dishes. Fish, eggplant, gai-lan shrimp and fried rice with bbq pork. None of the three of us had ever had anything like the fish or the eggplant and they were both deliciously scrumptious. The gai-lan and rice were pretty much typically prepared, and wasn't a surprise, but were equally as good. Our table ate every morsel. We'll be back frequently to this establishment.

I was on a hunt for soup dumplings in Winnipeg over the holidays and found this place. It was completely empty when my friend and I got there, so we were the only ones in the restaurant around 2pm.
I'm adventurous, so I asked the (adorably enthusiastic) server what she recommended. We had a green bean dish, soup dumplings, salt and pepper squid (my other must-have) and the fish special. I'm not even sure what it was, but I'm not a "fish person" and I loved it.
The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was a hit and I left happy. The soup dumplings were done nicely, though I do wish they had more soup in them! It didn't quite meet my expectation for soup dumplings from my favourite Calgary location, but it was still yummy.
I would definitely go back. -

The best Shanghai food in the city run by the nicest family in the business. Expect to be greeted by the Shanghai trained pastry chef owner who will help you with menu suggestions. We go every chance we get and enjoy the special fish, crispy ginger beef, amazing salty squid, super special Shao Ling bao Shanghai soup dumplings, Singapore noodles. Really good authentic Chinese food, and they will even make chicken balls if that's what you are looking for. Definitely go!
